The hotel's generous 5000 m^2 garden, complete with a seasonal outdoor pool, is an idyllic spot for unwinding, while the free airport shuttle service made my arrival and departure seamless. During our stay, I appreciated the fully equipped kitchenette in our apartment, which allowed for easy meal preparation after exploring the impressive Frasassi Caves and local castles. There's also an array of activities available, such as cycling and fishing, catering to both the adventurous spirit and those seeking to enjoy the beautiful Italian landscape. For anyone visiting the region, La Vecchia Fonte offers both a grounding in local history and a home away from home, ideal for solo travelers, families, or fellow archaeologists like myself.
